wednesday 7th may the great John Irish Earle the saxaphone player passed away suddenly i called him the peoples sax player. in london (music capitol of the world) during the eighties there was no busier player, everyone wanted Irish on thier records. he was the dogs bollocks.he could play a gig for Ian drury and the blockheads or thin lizzie at the Albert hall,to a sold out audience, then go on to play a wee obscure club with a struggling singer like myself for a couple of beers that was his style, aye he liked his beer but man when he played his sax he made a lot of people happy, so tonight folks on cloud nine, heres a new guy we have, on sax, John "Irish" Earle...

Jeff Stick Davis flys into Glasgow Tue 16th aug.for our gig at Glasgows Clutha vaults,Thursday 18th August, we played there 2 months back, hey if they dont like you in glasgow they let you know, ask ol' blue eyes, or read his story, our band rocks blues, country, rock n roll the idea for my new album Love Bayou was concieved in The Clutha, which means the River in Gailic, the pub stands by the River Clyde, we were in there one time, Stick asked me what my new album was going to be about, i said its where the River Clyde meets The Mississippi, on the Love Bayou, and thats the album cover, but its also representitive of the music, where Scotland meets Americana, and creates a new word i conjured up "Scotiana", so this is an important one for us,
